Fonn Villas News, May 2011

Bendwood Park Fitness Station

A fitness and exercise station has been proposed for Bendwood Park.  The plan will include stretching posts, parallel bars and chin-up bars located along the Pinerock sidewalk entrance.  Equipment would be placed in a newly-prepared area measuring 10 x 14 feet, bordered by 6 x 8 inch timbers, with a wood chip surface.

The proposal will be discussed in detail at the May FVCA meeting.  The Houston Parks Board developed the plan which was given an ok from the City Parks and Recreation Department.  Equipment has been funded by generous neighbors, who will be recognized upon the plan’s implementation.
