1/7/2026: MEMORIAL CITY DETENTION PROGRESS MEETING

The City of Houston District G newsletter that went out 12/31/2025  advertised the following:

In February 2025, City Council approved $1.5 million for the design of the TIRZ 17 Memorial Area Detention Basin. This basin will greatly reduce the risk of flooding in the area by collecting stormwater and allowing it to be released gradually back into the stormwater system.

There is an in-person public meeting concerning this project scheduled on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 6PM-8PM at the Memorial Middle School Auditorium (12550 Vindon Drive 77024). Please try to join if you would like to learn more about this project.
