Fonn Villas Halloween!
Fonn Villas will have two events for Halloween this year (all neighbors are welcome to participate in any and all festivities):
The annual FV Halloween costume parade will begin at Pebblebrook and Hallie at 5:45 P.M. on Halloween night. We will have an escort and music to parade the kids around the horseshoe prior to trick or treating. Thank you to Allison Marshall and Lexi Dunson for coordinating.
On the north side of the neighborhood at 5:30 PM, there will be pizza and drinks served at the dead end on Hallie and Trail Hollow. Group pic to follow pizza! Please contact Victoria Foster for more information on joining in the festivities on the north side of the neighborhood.
If you have not already purchased your Trick-or-Treat goodies for this year, consider participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project that many Fonn Villas neighbors participate in annually. The Teal Pumpkin Project provides information and helpful information for neighbors considering including non-food treats, or allergy friendly candy, as an option for kids who may suffer with life-threatening food allergies. If you're interested in participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project, here are some helpful trick-or-treat ideas below:
Non-Food Treat Ideas: Glow sticks/bracelets/necklaces, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, bubbles, Halloween erasers or pencil toppers, mini Slinkies, whistles, kazoos, noisemakers, bouncy balls, finger puppets, novelty toys, coins, spider rings or vampire fangs, mini notepads, playing cards, bookmarks, stickers, or stencils.
Allergy-Friendly Candy Brands: Enjoy Life, Yum Earth, Made Good, Free 2b, Zolli Candy, Surf Sweets.
Note: Many of these non-food treats and allergy friendly candy can be found at CVS, Target, Amazon, local grocery and novelty stores. For more information on the teal pumpkin project, as well as free resources and how to officially register your house on the Teal Pumpkin Project Map, visit the F.A.R.E. website: www.foodallergy.org
Please use caution as you drive home that evening! Also, turn your porch lights on so trick-or-treaters know that you are participating in Trick-or-Treating. If you are not participating, turn your lights off to alert people to move on to the next house. Happy Halloween!
